In Ayurveda, general body aches are referred to as Angamarda. This condition is primarily attributed to an imbalance in the Vata Dosha, specifically Vyana Vayu, which is responsible for circulation and movement within the body. It is often triggered by the presence of 'Ama' (metabolic toxins) created by weak 'Agni' (digestive fire). These toxins accumulate in the 'Srotas' (channels), obstructing the flow of energy and nutrients, which manifests as a dull, squeezing, or grinding sensation across the muscles and joints.
Dosha imbalance
Vata aggravation (specifically Vyana Vayu)
Ama accumulation (toxic buildup)
Kapha stagnation (causing heaviness)
Pitta imbalance (if heat or inflammation is present)
