Understanding lab diagnostics

Adults who have blood lab reports and want structured digital entry plus educational Ayurvedic framing — alongside, not instead of, their clinician’s interpretation.

What Lab Diagnostics is

Lab Diagnostics is a standalone module for structured lab report entry. You create a Blood Laboratory report, add results from a searchable catalog (or upload for OCR), validate units and ranges, then save and analyze for educational Ayurvedic insight on the structured panel.

What is live vs coming soon

Blood Laboratory is active today. Other diagnostic types such as Urine, Imaging, and Wearables appear in the hub as coming soon — they are not available for analysis yet. We list them so expectations stay honest.

How ayuveda.ai uses it

Each completed analysis counts toward your diagnostics quota (Free: 1 per month; Paid: 10 per month). This is separate from Document uploads. Symptom or disease search lives at Nidana (/nidana) and is a different product surface.

Model / tradition: Structured diagnostic reports: catalogued lab tests, hybrid OCR extraction, panel review, then async Ayurvedic analysis. Free: 1 analysis/month · Paid: 10/month. Educational only.

How structured labs work

Diagnostics is built around catalogued tests and reviewable rows — not a single opaque PDF summary.

Blood Laboratory

Live today

“Panels & biomarkers”

  • Active diagnostic type in the hub
  • Searchable lab-test catalog with units
  • Manual entry or OCR-assisted rows
  • Range validation before analyze

OCR extraction

Upload assist

“From report files”

  • Hybrid extraction into test rows
  • Confidence indicators on extracted values
  • You review and edit before final analyze
  • Failed extraction still lets you enter manually

Coming soon

Not available yet

“Urine · Imaging · Wearables”

  • Shown in the hub as coming soon
  • Not open for structured analysis today
  • Blood Laboratory remains the live path
  • No fake “available” claims on this landing

Analysis limits

Monthly quota

“Free 1 · Paid 10”

  • Counted per diagnostic report analysis
  • Separate from document upload limits
  • Usage warnings as you approach the cap
  • Educational outcome — not a lab certificate

Diagnostics vs Documents (and Nidana)

Use Diagnostics for structured Blood Laboratory panels. Use Documents for general health files and free-form Analyze / Q&A. Nidana is a separate public symptom and disease search tool — not lab entry.

How it works

Sign in, start a Blood Laboratory report, enter or OCR results, review rows, then save and analyze within your monthly limit.

  1. 1

    Sign in and open Diagnostics

The hub lists live and coming-soon diagnostic types. Start a new Blood Laboratory report from the active type.

  2. 2

Enter results or upload for OCR

Search the lab-test catalog to add rows, or upload a report for extraction. Review confidence and fix any mismatched values.

  3. 3

    Validate and save

Confirm units and ranges. OCR rows can be edited; only changes that need saving are posted again before analysis.

  4. 4

    Analyze within your quota

Run analysis to receive educational insight on the structured panel. Free accounts: 1 analysis per month; paid: 10.

Tips for accurate entry

Structured data quality drives useful educational analysis — treat OCR as a starting point.

  • Prefer clear PDF lab reports over blurry phone photos when uploading for OCR.
  • Check every extracted row — especially units and similar-named tests.
  • Use the catalog search rather than inventing free-text biomarker names.
  • Do not analyze until you have reviewed flagged or low-confidence fields.
  • For general PDFs you only want to ask about, Documents may be the better tool.
  • For symptom education without labs, use Nidana (/nidana) — it is not lab diagnostics.

What you get

  • Blood Laboratory reports with searchable test catalog and UOM selection
  • OCR upload assist with confidence indicators and editable rows
  • Draft-first flow so you can build a report before analyzing
  • Educational Ayurvedic analysis of structured results
