Document Analysis
Upload health documents — extract, analyse, and ask questions
Bring PDFs, Word files, images, or plain text into ayuveda.ai. We extract the content, run an Ayurvedic-aware analysis for key insights, and let you ask follow-up questions about each file — then use those documents in chat when you need context.
Understanding document analysis
Anyone with lab printouts, discharge summaries, prescriptions, or wellness reports who wants educational Ayurvedic framing and searchable Q&A — not a replacement for the clinician who ordered the tests.
What document analysis is
Document analysis on ayuveda.ai lets you store health-related files in your account, extract readable text (including from scans and images), and run an Analyze step that produces structured key insights. You can then ask questions about that file and keep the Q&A history with the document.
What it means in practice
Instead of re-uploading the same PDF every time you chat, you keep a library of reports and notes. Insights summarise what the document appears to say in educational terms; Q&A helps you revisit specific sections without scrolling a long extract. Attachments in chat pull from the same library when you want the AI to consider a particular file.
How ayuveda.ai uses it
Uploads count toward your monthly document limit. Free accounts get 10 uploads per month and 5 Q&A questions per document; paid plans raise uploads to 200 per month with a higher Q&A allowance. Lab Diagnostics is a separate structured lab flow — use Documents for general files and free-form analysis.
Model / tradition: Upload → text extraction → Analyze for key insights → optional per-document Q&A. Chat can attach saved documents for grounded follow-up. Educational interpretation only.
What you can bring
Supported formats and limits are enforced at upload. Keep files under 10 MB and prefer clear scans for better extraction.
PDF & Word
PDF, DOC, DOCX
“Reports, letters, summaries”
- Lab PDFs and clinic letters
- Discharge or referral notes

Images
JPG, JPEG, PNG, WEBP
“Photos and scans”
- Phone photos of printed reports
- Scanned pages saved as images
- Clear lighting and flat pages help extraction
- Still subject to the 10 MB limit
Plain text
TXT
“Notes and exports”
- Copied notes from other apps
- Simple text exports
- Easy extraction with little OCR risk

Key insights & Q&A
After Analyze
“Summary and questions”
- Analyze produces key insights on the document
- Ask follow-ups stored in per-document Q&A history
- Free: 5 questions per document
- Attach documents in chat when you need file context
Documents vs Lab Diagnostics
Documents is your general health-file library with free-form extraction, Analyze, and Q&A. Lab Diagnostics is a structured Blood Laboratory workflow with catalogued tests, OCR into panels, and a dedicated analysis quota. Use the tool that matches the job.

Documents
PDF, Word, images, or text — extract, Analyze for key insights, ask about the file, attach in chat. Monthly upload limits apply.
Structured labs

Blood Laboratory reports with searchable test catalog, OCR into results rows, and Ayurvedic analysis of structured panels. Separate monthly analysis limit.
How it works
Sign in, upload a supported file, extract, Analyze, then ask questions or attach the document in chat.
- 1
Sign in and open Documents
The library lives in your dashboard so files stay linked to your account. Guests are prompted to log in or create an account first.
- 2
Upload a supported file
Drop PDF, Word, image, or text up to 10 MB. Invalid types and oversized files are rejected before upload counts against your monthly limit.
- 3
Extract, then Analyze
We extract readable text from the file. When you are ready, run Analyze to generate key insights stored on the document.
- 4
Ask questions or attach in chat
Use document Q&A for follow-ups (Free: 5 per document). In Ask AI, attach documents when you want the conversation to consider that file.
Tips for better results
Clear files and realistic expectations make extraction and insights more useful.
- Prefer sharp, well-lit scans; skewed or low-contrast photos reduce extraction quality.
- Keep each file under 10 MB — split very large multi-page scans if needed.
- Use PDF or Word when you already have a digital report; photos work but OCR is harder.
- Run Analyze after extraction before expecting key insights on the document.
- Ask specific Q&A questions (“What does this note say about thyroid?”) rather than vague prompts.
- For structured blood panels you want in catalogued form, prefer Lab Diagnostics instead.
